The following significant matters illustrate our experience:
Case: Represented the President of the United States in two unprecedented criminal investigations, including the January 6th and classified documents cases. Outcome: Both ended in dismissal. Both dismissed with prejudice.
Case: Represented the first top presidential advisor indicted for contempt of Congress. Outcome: USDOJ has requested that the U.S. Supreme Court vacate the conviction.
Case: Represented one of the world’s leading scientific research organizations in civil and criminal investigations. Outcome: USDOJ terminated both investigations with no further action.
Case: Represented the leader of a nationwide project development corporation in a federal criminal antitrust case. Outcome: Antitrust case dismissed after presidential pardon.
Case: Represented a highly decorated federal law enforcement officer charged with obstruction of justice. Outcome: Conviction erased by presidential pardon.
Case: Represented a Senate-confirmed top U.S. Department of Justice official in a civil lawsuit seeking damages that the plaintiffs alleged were a result of his actions while in office. Outcome: No liability for the client.
Case: Represented an insurer in billion-dollar federal trials stemming from the destruction of the World Trade Center. Outcome: Favorable resolution after appeal.
Case: Represented a telecommunications provider in a nine-figure class action lawsuit. Outcome: Dismissed by the federal district court judge on summary judgment.
Case: Represented a major federal contracting company in a nine-figure arbitration against the federal government. Outcome: Favorable resolution of claims in arbitration.
Case: Represented a leading government contractor facing federal suspension or debarment. Outcome: Resolved the matter so that the contractor could continue to partner with the federal government.
Case: Represented the audit committee of the then-largest U.S. pharmaceutical care company in an internal investigation after an investor raised questions about accounting and business practices. Outcome: Successful resolution after internal investigation.
